Data-driven design approach for business growth
Users with weight management need account for a relatively high proportion of our overall users. Through redesign of this case, basic experience issues have been greatly solved and business indicators such as DAU and ROI have been improved significantly.

From the graph above, it can be seen that the overall DAU has been greatly improved. The entire module can be roughly divided into 5 modules based on the usage path: Data Dashboard (Day), Body Data, Measure, Service and Trend (Week/Month/Year). By quantitative and qualitative testing, the data increment is beyond expectation.

Based on the user flow combining with data collection and user interviews, the user's behavior is analyzed. I selected design opportunities with high priority and easy-to-reach touch points from a large number of analysis summaries.

By screening out the important and high-priority experience issues, and combining the previously analyzed user flow, the entire design case was optimized in these five directions (shown as above). Compared with the previous version, v2.0 has a more concise and efficient page to view/interact.

I enhanced the most important part visually in this module: data display and management model. Highlighted data numbers are related to the management model, which makes it consistent logically and intuitively. Meanwhile, this visual template also applies to all modules in HUAWEI Health App, as part of design system.

Smart scale data and AI body data are loaded in this page, boosting efficiency of browsing this category of data. At the same time, the tab on the top enables this module to have extended capability in the future (i.e., Watch BMI detection)

I conducted scientific human-factor testing of the design proposal (as shown in the figure above).Look into the visual details and find some tricky issues that can be continuously iterated. After several rounds of testing, I finalized design works to make sure the result is satisfying.
